About Us
Simulation center
As a simulation center at the Medical Faculty in Pilsen, we play a key role in the education of future healthcare professionals. Our center provides students of the medical faculty with unique and practical experiences that are essential for their future career in medicine. We utilize the latest technologies and simulation techniques to give students a realistic view of various medical procedures and situations. We focus on practical skills, teamwork, and decision-making processes in challenging healthcare scenarios. Our work helps shape competent and confident healthcare professionals who will be able to meet the challenges in the dynamic world of healthcare.
Teaching methods
In our educational program, we utilize so-called high fidelity simulations, which are crucial for modern medical education. These advanced simulations provide our students with the opportunity to safely practice clinical skills and gain realistic experiences. We use simulators with advanced features that mimic various health conditions and patient responses. This approach allows our students to acquire important skills such as diagnostics and teamwork, without any risk to real patients.
Debriefing after simulations is essential for a deep understanding and integration of what is learned. We guide students through reflection and discussion of their performance, contributing to better preparedness for real clinical situations and improving patient care.
In addition to high fidelity simulations, we also use a number of so-called low fidelity simulators, which are invaluable for practicing both basic and advanced clinical skills, such as ultrasonography, cannulation of various vascular accesses, and so on.
