Introduction
The course is focused on basic skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid in the most common types of traumatic and non-traumatic injuries of the organism.
What should the student learn
Students will learn a simple algorithm of the examination and securing of basic life functions. They will obtain the basic skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation including the technique of chest compressions and mouth to mouth breathing. They will also learn the basic first aid procedures – stopping the bleeding, wound cover, fracture stabilization, treatment of burns etc.
Teaching arrangements
Teaching consists of optional lectures and a total of 3 compulsory practical exercises. It´s completed by a credit test.
Where the lesson is held
The spoken lectures are held in the „Aula“ of the surgical departments University Hospital Lochotín – entrance „C“ -2 floor. Practical lectures are held in the „Simulation room“ of our dpt. – entrance „H“ in the University hospital
